My name is John Mahon, everyone calls me J.R.

I am the founder of Hollywood Pastor. I live in Carlsbad, CA with my wife Diane and three adopted kids.

I am a television news producer, writer, public relations specialist, marketing strategist and believe it or not a pastor.

I want Hollywood Pastor to be one thing... a place to connect or reconnect with God and simply seek who Christ is.

Currently I'm one of the Executive Producers at the ABC in San Diego.

I've worked for Time Warner, Gannett Television, McGraw-Hill, and freelanced for every television network in the country. I also did a stint as a porn pastor with an anti-porn ministry called XXXchurch.com.

As the creator and writer for Starving Jesus the book and tour I was able to help start and lead dozens of national outreaches from feeding the homeless to securing financial sponsorship for 650 children in the Dominican Republic through Compassion International.

I speak to thousands of people every year, from Sunday morning church services to national television conferences. My television and ministry experience has made me an expert on media and its effects on American church culture.
